Lawyer
Simon Vischer is founding partner of Vischer Voss. He has over 15 years of experience in providing advice on foreign trade law and trade compliance. His professional career has led him through several stations in which he earned a reputation as an expert in all areas of foreign trade law, in particular export control and sanctions. Further focuses of his many years of experience as a lawyer are in the area of so-called prohibitions and restrictions, investment and war weapons control, customs-related export processing and the ESG regulations on sustainable supply chains. At a medium-sized law firm specializing in customs, foreign trade and VAT law, he also took on management roles in addition to providing legal advice – first as an authorized representative and later as managing director. There he played a decisive role in shaping the professional orientation and expansion of the foreign trade law department.
He most recently contributed his expertise to a boutique law firm focused on customs and foreign trade law before founding Vischer Voss together with Nikolaus Voss in 2024. He advises companies from various industries – from start-ups and medium-sized companies to DAX-listed corporations – on how to implement the regulatory requirements of international trade in a way that is both secure and practical. Clients appreciate his deep understanding of legal interrelations and company-specific concerns and his ability to develop customized compliance strategies that can be efficiently and effectively integrated into business processes. He also applies his in-depth legal knowledge to reactive advice, administrative proceedings and litigation.
As a lecturer and author on foreign trade law, Simon Vischer is also active beyond his advisory work and is regularly requested for seminars and publications. The JUVE Handbook of Commercial Law Firms has also repeatedly recognized his expertise several times in the field of foreign trade law.
