Nikolaus Voss is founding partner of Vischer Voss. He has almost two decades of experience in foreign trade law and compliance advice. As in-house counsel, compliance officer and global head of export control in leading German companies, he has acquired extensive expert knowledge of the regulatory and operational requirements that are important for globally active economic operators. At the same time, he developed a profound understanding of the organization, processes, necessities and challenges in companies. He complemented this internal corporate perspective with his many years of experience as a lawyer, managing director and partner of a medium-sized law firm specialized in foreign trade law. There, he was responsible for advising German and international clients from all sectors and of all sizes on export control and sanctions law and the relevant interfaces such as compliance, customs/export, investment control, ESG, human rights and supply chain due diligence.
